We have made many improvements in food and service over the last year. Thank you so much for all of your ideas, participation, and support.

I am proud to announce that school nutrition professionals have recognized the hard work our team has done. We won a 2018 Foodservice Achievement Management Excellence award (FAME). We will bring home a Silver Special Achievement Award in January. The award will be presented at the School Nutrition Association’s School Nutrition Industry Conference.

When it comes to reinvention, we are just getting started!

New ideas are in the works. Some we are still exploring and some we have piloted with students to get their input so we can fine-tune our execution. Here are just a few coming attractions for our cafeterias:

• Deli bars
• Potato bars
• Mac and cheese bars
• Flavor stations: Cajun, garlic and herb, lemon pepper, curry, seasonings and condiments
• Fruit baskets at the cashier register
• Classroom pizza parties.

As we move into 2018, we continue to make mealtime at school a healthy, enjoyable, and positive experience that helps our students excel, academically and personally.
