Serving our students the freshest and highest quality ingredients is extremely important to us. Our program has relentlessly sought out students’ preferences, conducted taste tests often, met face to face with vendors, and toured facilities to ensure our customers are getting the very best meal selections. Customers can expect a variety of farm fresh fruits and vegetables to replace canned versions which contain more sodium and sugar. Our menus incorporate a wide array of frozen vegetables with bold seasonings, which students are sure to love.
We are proud to tout that the program now provides students with fresh, whole muscle meats. Delicious meats such as ground beef, beef patties, pork chops, sausage patties, country steak, and “Center of the Plate” meats are delivered to our door with less processing than before. The whole muscle meats are healthier, tastier and more substantial, which keeps our students full longer.
All Richmond County High Schools have “Top It Off Stations,” which offer students the latest robust, blended seasonings, low sodium sauces and dressings galore. In addition, “Top It Off Stations” provide students with their favorite fixings to “Top Off” their entrees, such as fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, jalapeños and more. What a neat way to personalize your lunch!
